SUMMER SCHOOL August 15th-26th 2011Well, 2011 Summer School is over, what a night! I just can't understand how I have so many wonderful and talented kids. The amazing performances were down to you, whether you were 8 or 18, with a little help from John, Flips, Liz, Emma and I, not forgetting Chris and all his electrics. Photos on the web site shortly, and DVD of your performances coming. And there will be another Summer School next year. Huge congratulations to everyone. It's been a fantastic few weeks and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. I feel very privileged to have worked with such a talented bunch of young people. Hope to see some of you soon Massive love xxx Flips Well done everybody, it was both an honour and a great laugh working with such talented people. Every single one of you should be very very proud of yourselves and I fully expect to see some of your lovely faces on a stage or screen near me in the not too distant future! SENIOR SUMMER SCHOOL AGE 13-18 YRSThis year, students at Senior Summer School will learn the art of acting comedy. The art of conveying humour will be taught by working on a number of short, humorous plays. They will then perform these plays to an audience of parents and friends on the last night of the course. Those who prefer can stage manage the productions and work with lighting, sound and set.
JUNIOR SUMMER SCHOOL AGE 9-12 YRSJoin our Junior Summer school and have the opportunity to take part in a musical, which we perform to family and friends at the end of the course. Wearing costumes, using lights and sound we aim for all students to take a very active role in the whole performance: as well as acting they help make props, costumes and sets.
During the course we also visit London to see a West End show. We encourage all students to take part in all activities and work as a team, while having fun and making new friends. We make full use of the outside space at the Community Centre in Heathfield for games and barbeques.
The cost of the two week course has been held at last year's rate of £280.00. A deposit of £110.00 is payable on booking and the balance is due six weeks before the start of the course. BOOKINGBOOKINGS MADE BEFORE 31ST MARCH GENERATE A 10% EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT OF £28.00 WHICH CAN BE DEDUCTED FROM THE DEPOSIT. A FURTHER 5% DISCOUNT IS APPLIED FOR 2ND OR MORE FAMILY MEMBERS, AND THIS CAN BE COMBINED WITH THE EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT. There are grants available for parents who may have difficulty to find all the fees contact Mrs Pearson for details. For a printable Booking Form, please click here.
